If April showers bring May flowers...

... what do April snow storms bring?

In other news, I did massive errand running yesterday, including the annual splurge at the grocery store for discounted candy. Those chocolate-covered marshmallow eggs are very nearly narcotic, I tell you (and at fifty cents a dozen, far cheaper than drugs). And I found Cocoa Peeps, which looked more interesting than the usual pastel varieties, so I got some. I suspect they still taste like pure sugar.

Also hit Great Clips, as it'd been two and a half years since I had my hair cut. Just enough to make the ends not all straggly anymore, lest anyone panic like my partner did when I mentioned going to the stylist. Usually I have a hard time justifying spending $14 on anything as straightforward as one of my hair cuts (15 minutes tops), but I got a half-price coupon in the mail.

    Two interesting points:

One, they asked if I'd been there before. I said I had, but a long time ago, and my info had changed since then. "That's okay," quoth the stylist, "as long as you're in here." And proceeded to do her keyboard vodoo, then declared I could go back. It should be noted that at no time did she request my new info. So it's not really me in there, is it?

Two, she commented that it really HAD been a long time, and that it was amazing that my hair was so healthy. Because, you know, people can't possibly have nice hair unless they go to the salon every month.

    /facepalm

    Yay marshmallow/chocolate eggs, though.

Don't like the weather? Wait five minutes.

    … and now it’s snowing.

I should not have to be losing feeling in my fingers as I put away my groceries in APRIL.

    May I just say….

    What
    the
    HELL.

    sweet little bunnies

So... I've been having an aggressively bad week (including my father going in for surgery and one meeting that reduced me to crying my eyes out for the entire drive home from work) - only found out belatedly that Mercury was in retrograde and just went direct on the 7th. (For those that don't know - when Mercury in Retrograde, all things communication and travel-related will be AFU.)

Thought I was out of the woods, but heard from someone who actually knows what she's talking about that one should lay low until the 18th or so because something else is going on as well (with Pluto, I think?)

So, in the meantime, I've been cheering myself up with this:

    Winter Bells

It's a sweet little flash game. Nothing blows up or splatters, which I know will turn most people off it right there, but it's calming and mindless.
