    and lo, it was good

A nice weekend... spent the entire thing at home. Rock on.

Stopped on the way home from work at Home Depot and picked up another curtain rod extender - entirely because I needed the extra bracket and I can't find anywhere that sells just that particular sort of bracket. (Curtain rod extenders come with one. Curtain rods come with two. I needed four total.... so I've been short one for about a year.)

Also took a run out to Best Buy to spend a couple gift cards on Season 5 of Angel (I'd heard Spike was a ghost in S5 and the idea amused the hell out of me). Picked up the new Loreena McKennitt while I was at it.... damn, it has been FAR too long since she released anything. I'm saving it for driving music, as I don't want my associations with it to be work-related.

Discovered an Indian grocery nearby, which is beyond awesome. (Xy, if you're reading this, they have the yum-round-things in CANS. No kitchen adventures required. I bought one, though I haven't tried it yet. There were many other things that smelled awesome, as well - and a few things I seem to remember you lamenting were impossible to find. I must drag you there next time you're over.)

Came back and spent the night in front of the movie box cuddling two kittens who were very traumatized by my late return. Spike as a ghost really WAS as funny as I suspected.

Saturday consisted of a little cleaning, a little writing, and a lot of hanging out with Mattsiah. Good conversation, good times, and I once again proved that my brother got all the video game genes. For though I enjoy them, I do sucketh like unto mine Hoover.

Crashed out somewhere around two in the morning. Woke earlier than I expected on Sunday, did the breakfast-cooking thing (which I have always enjoyed - perverse for someone who detests mornings as much as I do), and spent most of the day passed out in an attempt to sleep off a neck crick that had somehow morphed into the sort of headache one acquires from being hit in the base of the skull with a troll's warhammer. Repeatedly.

Damn thing never did quite go away - but at least I got lots of sleep in. Have to figure out what I did to cause that and stop doing it.
